In-hospital diagnosis and treatment

The State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Cardiology" is the leading medical institution in providing cardiology and cardiac surgery services in the Republic of Belarus. Our Center has wide diagnostic and treatment facilities and provides the full range of cardiology and cardiac surgery assistance to children and adults.

The Center includes scientific departments, cardiovascular surgery departments, cardiotherapy departments, radiology department of endovascular surgery, department of extracorporeal methods of cardiovascular treatment.

Our cardiac surgeons are able to perform the most advanced heart and great vessels surgeries, using the most effective methods of surgical treatment of CAD and heart defects. With CABG, angioplasty, and stenting surgeries we help patients to return to normal life without functional limitations in the shortest possible time.

Available examination tests:

- ECG, precordial mapping and 24-hour (Holter) ECG and BP monitoring;

- Stress ECG tests (Cycle Ergometer Test, Treadmill test);

- Echocardiography (Doppler echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, contrast echocardiography);

Treatment options:

- Therapeutic (medication, electrotherapy);

- Interventional treatment of: CAD and peripheral artery disease (balloon angioplasty, stenting), heart defects (closure of VSD, ASD, PDA), arrhythmias and chronic heart failure (radiofrequency ablation, resynchronization therapy);

- Surgical: coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), MABG, correction of congenital and acquired heart defects, prosthetics and repairment of heart valves, arterial and aortic prosthetics, vein surgery, transmyocardial laser revascularization;

- Installation and programming of pacemakers.

To get inpatient services in the Center on contractual basis you should contact the department of extrabudgetary activities, and present necessary medical documents (abstract from medical history, out-patient medical record) for evaluation of patient's condition, determination of indications and contraindications for hospitalization in corresponding clinical department. Hospitalization is performed within 1 to 7 days from the date of application, the duration of the waiting period depends only on the availability of beds in the relevant department. The average duration of hospitalization for examination and therapeutic treatment is 1–2 weeks. Approximate cost of hospitalization is coordinated with the patient after receiving the necessary medical documents and determining the volume of medical care on the basis of current price lists. We work on 100% advance payment system. In case of cash payment, final payment should be made on the basis of medical history on the day of discharge (if paid in cash), or within 7 days (in case of non-cash payment).
