From September 21 to 25, 2018, the 30th International Congress of Interventional Cardiologists and X-ray Endovascular Surgeons TST (Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapy) 2018 was held in San Diego, USA.

This congress is the largest world forum dedicated to the treatment of cardiovascular pathology using X-ray endovascular surgery. Leading experts in this field (Greg Stone, Martin Leon, Harry Mintz, USA; Antonio Colombo, Italy; Stephan Windecker, Switzerland; Dariusz Dudek, Poland and many others) take part in TST conferences every year.

Participation in the TST conference is extremely prestigious for any cardiologist. Specialists of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Cardiology» (Head of the Emergency and Interventional Cardiology Laboratory Valery Ivanovich Stelmashok, Head of the X-ray Operating Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Cardiology» Polonetsky Oleg Leonidovich) have previously reported the results of their work under the TST, however, this year there was a significant event - for the first time at the leading world conference, the Republic of Belarus was not represented by individual delegates, but by the Belarusian Scientific Society of Cardiology and the Belarusian Society of X-ray Endovascular Surgeons.
Within the framework of the conference, a joint section was organized on the treatment of patients with a high risk of bleeding after stenting. The section is organized by the cardiological societies of Austria, Belgium, Belarus and Croatia.
From our country with the report «Chronic anticoagulant therapy after stenting» was made by the head of the X-ray operation Republican Scientific-Practical Center «Cardiology» Oleg Leonidovich Polonetsky.
The Belarusian experience in treating this category of patients was positively evaluated by the audience.
 

Also at the conference, Belarusian delegates (Deputy Director for Therapeutic Assistance Elena Kurlyanskaya, Head of the X-ray Operations Republican Scientific and Practical Center «Cardiology» Polonetsky Oleg Leonidovich) held meetings and negotiations, which will result in the introduction of new topical methods of coronary and structural heart pathologies, participation in international research projects.
